  1. They do look like Coral crab however there is no coral anywhere near here.
  2. No worries Scratchie, all good Jeff
  3. I was referring to fish a lot bigger than that one, that you see people putting pictures up of, and I am not talking about on this site! I said that was a good eating size, if you read it as it was printed! As for eating fish regardless of size, what do you mean by that, maybe I am reading that wrong?
  4. Thats a great size for eating. I still can not figure out why people take the huge ones as they are not that good to eat. What weight was that one about 12kg?
  5. Great to see a young bloke letting the big girl go. Top fisho in the making.
  6. I cut them open and put scores down the length.
  7. Did an hour of floating bread to catch this lot for the traps to entice another feed of swimmers and will also see if we can get a couple of muddies
  8. I prefer them over the blue swimmer. Has a stronger flavour.
  9. I'm not sure what they are, we have been catching them for around 2 years now. I have fished the Hawkesbury for the last 60 years and never caught them before.
  10. I grow my own chillies that we cook them with and a nice cold beer make the crabs one of the best sea foods.
  11. Hi Donna, We caught 23 in total 6 of which were the red ones. They are a lot heavier than the same size blues. We lost 2 traps. Almost caught one or the grubs but he out run us through the shallows. We now know what he looks like and the tinny he uses so we will be looking for him until we find him and hopefully after that he will not be stealing any more.
  12. There are a lot of blue swimmers around in the Hawkesbury, but you can not leave your traps unattended as the grubs are out in force raiding traps and some of these drop kick even take the trap.
  13. This time of year as the water cools down you need to get the fish into a attack mode rather than them just cruising around looking for a easy feed. You need to burly to get it happening. Go closer into bays where the water is shallow and warmer for flathead.
  14. The smile on the dial says it all!
  15. Hi Derek, Yes it is for an electric motor, you can also fit one on the rudder plate, however I think having a tiller steer mounted behind you is stupid! I may put a foot control Haswing on there as I have one on my fishing boat and hardly ever use it!
  16. I have 5 grandsons and 2 sons that do not have yaks! Also each yak has a different purpose, i.e. fast 1 man cruising, 2 man fishing, 1 man bass yak, 1 man sea yak etc!
  17. It will most likely sit there as my favorite is my Jackson Big Rig
  18. I now have 5 kayaks and in reality do not get enough time to use 1 alot. Compulsive buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Friday we had a blast catching these little whalers and today was the same with 9 caught today and 12 on Friday. We released all except 1 which we took for dinner tonight.
