    Loctite?

Hi guys I'm re-installing the water pump housing on my 03' f50 yamaha. the maintanace manual says to apply loctite572 on the 4 bolts but my local mechanic (who I don't have the utmost confidence in) said just smear them with a dab of marine grease. Which way should I go? Thanks.
  3. Hi Raiders, does anyone know if there are any preferred/reliable areas in the upper Cowan ( between cottage point & apple tree bay) to fish for yellowtail? or can they be found anywhere there with a bit or burley? Any advice appreciated
  4. And you guys do it in a boat that only has bench seats and no canopy! That's dedication for you,Kudos on your successes so far gentlemen..that big one's just around the corner I'm sure. Hey Nathan I can vouch that's not the first time Ray's burley bombs have brought the fish on the bite.... the bloke must put tuna oil on his wheaties or somethin'.
  5. Hey well done guys! Great to see your efforts are starting to pay off

It's also good for killing wasps/hornets in their nests, but make sure you use a newish can with plenty of propellant & not some old rusty thing you found in the back of the shed you didn't bother to test beforehand. 40. Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch. Damn...wished I'd known that.
  9. I'd say the poor wobbegong was minding it's business when the hungry seal attacked it. Some great shots there peterS.
  10. I remember as a kid seeing it on the ABC,only managed to see one episode "from the river to the sea" but was enough to get me hooked. Wouldn't mind seeing it again though, will have to keep an eye out for the dvds. "Im looking for Aussie stuff in particular." Don't think there was much going before early 80s', wasn't much of a market before VCRs became popular.
  11. That's a huge effort for a great result Pete! I know Marcel would have been over the moon with that one! Well done guys and all the best for next weekend.
  12. I tried it using "google earth"...the detail isn't as good but you can make them out if you squint your eyes. [so where's waldo Kevin Rudd?]
  13. Hi Roberta ,read your post too late to catch it but I saw him on Letterman a few weeks ago...was a hoot!
  14. Hi guys I have a 1978/70hp evinrude fitted with internal tilt/trim system that's stuck in the down position. All I'm getting when i press the "up" switch is a loud clicking at the soleniod. I can't access the tilt motor or connections unless it's raised so is there anyway to raise it manually? If i loosen the fluid plug will that work? Is there a manual release anywhere? EDIT: ok, turns out there is...Manual release/bleeder screw on the right hand side. Thanks for the pm Pel!
  15. Hi Raiders, came across this video recently, thought it was worth sharing video
