Yeah i thought it may have been a Tailor... The outlet we fised was Near Mannering Park i did notice a sign saying fishing not allowed 6pm til 6am. I have also fouud out that it is one of the most populated areas for Blue ring Octopus.... Thanks for all your info.

Fished the outlet on Tuesday for a couple of hours with plastics and vibes,only got an undersize bream but we had a big 80cm fish come right upto us..kind of blueish on top... Did some reserch into the Hot water outlet when i got home and discoverd they get the odd Jack and Queenie there? Just wanted to know what others have expirenced there? Cheers.

Yeah me and a mate fished the lake on sunday morning for 6 flatties 4 legal and a 70cm girl released all on berkly bannana prawn.

Awsome lizard , Going up to Cresso in may for a week . I have heard of a few croc's being caught in the creek but never that far down. There's also a school of big salmon in there as well, got washed in just before Chrissy 08. Top fish mate,well done. p.s i'll be packing some Atomics.

We went to Hamilton Island for ours in Nov 07, got a day out on charter and picked up a 20kg Spanish mack amonst other things. You also get to play with the oversize GT's that live in the marina.

I have been beach fishing lately (very quite) and have started to use soft plastics up the main line, by this i mean i have either been useing a paternoster type rig with a 3 way swivel 500mm back up past the hook with a 200mm leader coming off the 3 way with a Sp (with an without a jig head). Alson been using a whiting rig with much the same 3 way swivel and sp. Does anyone else use this method? if so what else works instead of sp's and what have your results been.
