Hi Raiders, Last time I went out all my electrics started up as normal and lit up. but after waiting some time I noticed that my Navman GPS was not picking up the satellite? Just wondering if this means the unit is no buggered and I have to look for a replacement? or can it be serviced? I checked all connection and they seem all connected and fine and all fuses are OK? My GPS is a large 6 inch Navman colour GPS /plotter

and for a surprise as we were talking the Captain and I were discussing our surnames and discovered we were related right back to the mother country Wales.... small world

I would just like to give a HUGE shout out to Marine Rescue Solomon and Bondi Rescue. Yesterday after the weather turned and started to blow up, as we had to very young soles with us . We decided to turn for home and try to beat the wind. As we goy level with Bondi and about 2 km from shore our motor stopped. It seemed like we were out of fuel . But the case was the fuel line had became very hard and split and water separator had also corroded. so it was sucking air. The swell was getting bigger as well and with a drift towards the coast and heading south, I wasted no time in calling in Rescue. Sydney Rescue put Rescue Solomon on to me via mobile phone as Sydney Recue were also busy and Solomon was the closest. They maintained constant contact with me by phone informing me or distance and time from where the rescue crew was. My crew took the opportunity to keep the boys amused and keep fishing even though we were dragging anchor toward shore. I called them back when we were within 100m from the rocks just south of Bondi. Bondi Rescue were then also sent out on jet skis to help keep us from the rocks, but by then we were attached to the rescue boat and heading for home. After filling out the paperwork, I just have to mention just in case some people are thinking I cant ring then due to cost? They asked for a donation to cover fuel? A very small cost to save your life and the life of others.. I hade no problem in supporting a great cause like these guys. So I gave them a few 100 bucks for their trouble and got all their trouble. Maybe we at fishraider can organise a meet and greet day and to raise some funds for these guys seeing as we all may need them at one time... If any of my Friends are not Fish Raiders, and would like to become part of a great group of fish enthusiasts look it up on facebook or the net... Well I took some friends out for a fish and we got this one at the wedding cakes in the Harbour.... No one we know seems to be able to identify it? I even asked the fisheries inspector that went past..... I do have a couple more pics but here is one and a brief description... It has Scales like a fish, and not slimy like a eel? fins like a fish including dorsal, pectoral and tail fins was about 45cm in length prominate gills a fairly square looking head TEETH.....very fine 3 or 4 rows of teeth

Hi everyone, Just thought I would do a little post to say hi and merry xmas to all the fish raiders. I hope you all have a safe holiday season and catch that memory of a lifetime. What have I been up to? Well we have had a huge year between racing the dirt track sidecar and do my community work and business in Fiji I have been flat-out. Things are very hectic at times and I haven't been able to get to my messages that often... If you need some help or just wanted to contact me my email is the best way... yarraonesg@gmail.com I hope to be able to get the boat out of Sydney very soon and try for some kings and maybe a marlin if the weather does us a favour... So keep an eye out for Adi Waitui . Has anyone else planned to go out from Botany or rose bay to target the 12mile, FAD or some marlin? My racing was a huge year with 8th in Australia, 4th in NSW titles and a finish 2nd in the Championship , 2nd at Griffith Masters here is a pic... Here is a pic of my trip to the cook islands, they said it couldn't be done but, here I am when I managed to get a GT to rise out of the water for a bit of a rub. and here I am on my boat in Fiji when I dropped a marlin but got these to great fish..

ITS a bummer I cant do the tornament, Ill be at Raymond Terrance racing for a Aussie title

Hi guys its been a while since I have been around.. Im still alive and have been backwards and forwards from overseas every couple of months.... Well I herd from the Taren Point Tackle shop today, that he had a mate that went out wide and got his first Blue marlin for this year ....Has anyone else herd any reports ? Im going out wide new year.... Now for the teaser... Cook islands, last week I showed the local tour guide that I do have the knack with female fish... 25kg GT I had empty hands and i was the only person you came to.. yes they are used to people but , usualy dont come within arms distance... the tour guide was gob smacked. As you can see.. Im blessed..5 1/2m tiger shark Also only comes to me when I dive for her....

Just like to say that Im all ok and working flatout with a few different things.. We have had some pretty low times of hardship to deal with and some very high efforts.. One of my new sports has been going very well.. I am now racing a dirt track sidecar and a few weeks ago came 4th in the NSW state titles.. We are now preparing to compete at Raymond Terrance for the National Australian Title in August.. I also have been overseas alot getting things sorted for a new boat and tour bus.. Stay tuned for details about that... So dont worry we are ok and getting through.. Hope to see you all very soon... By the way Im riding .. not the silly bugger on the side... in this shot waswhen we won the right to be in the final .. 500m track 200km per hour on dirt...

i have hooked up and caught a 180kg blue marlinin the middle of dolphines.. however it can be very hard and dangerous around them cutting your line
