hi yarra , mate the bait tank will do the job and the water inlet will hit the water and should create enough air on its own , i do however suggest every 15 mins or so to scoop out a bucket and replace with fresh water, especially for the yakkas. I never fail to get bait at molly pt either , plenty of yakkas behind the western end of the wall. good luck .

hi there , im starting out to downrig from my boat a bit these days and i have a question for all keen downrigger users. When i have the bomb lowered and i get underway trolling the downrigger seems to really hum and whistle. (is this noise normal????? ......and will the noise deter / spook fish away from taking the livie/bait????) Im using an entry level scotty laketroller as original with the wire line e.t.c and 4lb bomb. thanks for any help. cam.

Hi there raiders. Im thinking of buying a seafarer monarch which i was told has had the transom replaced professionally. I would love to hear the opinions in regards to the strength of the replaced transom. Do you think it is as strong as the boat would have origionally been???? and is there anything that i should be concerned with. I love the boat , and it is very tidy nice looking unit. Hi there raiders. I know this is a wierd place to put up an advertisment for a job ,but as fishraider has hundreds of members you may just know someone this suits. Im in my 13th year of butchering and have my own business in a good sydney suburb.I currently have a partner but he is soon to retire and ill need some extra hands.(qualified butcher) The job is to start in july this year and im looking for a casual butcher to do a permanent couple of days a week and the odd week here and there. Hi there again , not getting any feedback on my earlier post so i thought id pin-point my main question in a clearer way , Id like to disconnect the lower unit off my american make of mercury (2004 25hp) My question is what is the corrrect process apart from just undoing the lower unit bolts??? Where and how do i find the gear shaft linkage????????? and should it be in neautral when i disconnect. Thanks heaps for any response i can get.cam.

Hi there raiders , i am looking to do my own service and impeller change on my 2004 merc 25 which is the american model (gear change in the tiller). I used to do it on my 15 johno but not sure if im up to it on this motor . Before i have a crack could anyone give me any advice???? My main thoughts are where i will disconnect the gear shift rod. And when i do disconnect and undo the lower end what gear forward/reverse/ or nuetral ahould it be in??? If anyone can help id be very appreciative. Thanks.cam.
