Hi Guys, I am looking at buying a boat in the next week or so and have been looking since xmas. I have found a 6.1m aluminium plate boat with a 2007 115hp Evinrude etec 2 stroke on the back of it. Does anyone know anything bout this particular motor? Pros / Cons? Your help on this matter would be much appreciated. Cheers Rob.

Hi Achilles, Heading up to PS next Thursday myself with a group of mates and 3 boats. Staying at Halifax where all the action is. The best part of the comp is the comaradery between all involved in the comp. Catching a decent fish is a bonus. Just hoping for the seas to settle down a little as it sounds like there was a bit of a battering to have by all involved with the interclub marlin comp. Thanks LandBased. Hoping to hed upto Nelson Bay 14 march, trailer boat comp. Theres a large group of us with three boats all staying at Halifax. Sounds like theres a few marlin still around, just hope the weathers accomodating. I do a bit of land base myself, always to keep in touch with your roots.

WOW! After a report like that mate you are the 'RABS' RAY WARREN of the internet. I felt like I was on the boat with you guys. I too hope to one day have a go at marlin fishing, and i dont think I'm gonna wait too long, sounds like an unforgettable experience. When were you actually up there fishing? Hi Guys, finally worked out how to get into all this fishraider stuff. Nice bass. Also looks like a nice little spot. Hope to get upto Nelson Bay for the trailer boat comp weekend of the 15th march. Good work mate. Kept the wife happy, got out to wet a line, managed to bag a couple of decent ones and had a fight with a few more. What more do you want in a days effort? I'm sure those two specimens went down a treat. Did the misses cook them up?

Hi mate, just new to fishraider. But here's a hint for a great little kingy spot in syd harbour. East side off clarke island (30-40meters off island) Navigate around with sounder until you find a reck (approx 20-30meters) in depth. was there 2 weeks ago got busted off 6/7 times and pulled in 4 X 70cm kingys. wish i could be there
