  1. ive got the max pe8 overhead, on a saltiga 40 and mann that things evil,, still would go for a tcurve deepjig tho, i find it is a lot better rod for a extra 50-80 bucks still a great rod would highly reccomend them onya
  2. i would go the spheros they are a great reel. look 13kgs is heaps of drag still. i catch sambos and kings regurly up to 30kgs and i only ever need to put on 10kgs at maximum cam
  3. also another problem is that braid absorbs more water than mono so it will corrode less high quality aluminium such as spheros 14000fas the line water absorbtion will corrode the spool. i agree with the part that not all reels are suitable sounds like my tss4 with braid:( i have a tda2000 and have never had problems with it great reel i say cam

  6. hi fellas my dad and i headed out to two peoples bay albany WA last monday and caught a few fisheys. first was my 40lb app sambo on a floated mulie then dad got two off the bottom and i got another one app60lb off the bottom on my tekota. we caught a few harliquin fish and blue worwongs cam
  7. hi fellas just was wondering on others thought of strudwick rods. personaly i love them i got 2 a sicstik 6-10kg baitcaster i catch tuna etc on and a bluewater 25-37kg spin i use for ytk ,sambos etc and they are great rods apart from there warranty my jig rod has quite a wierd action in it but has some grunt. just thought i would share my thoughts on these rods with others cam

  9. i have had real trouble with daiwa reels latley i find there cheaper reels are noway comparable to shimanos cheaper reels and i certainly would buy a shimano b4 a daiwa cameron

  11. Hey mate, Check out the okuma range for that price they have some good reels on offer escpeccialy the eclipze. Or a penn spinfisher 850ssm would be great. Check out blah blah poop they have some old model Shimano spheros going out for 200 bucks or so and they are workhorses. Cameron
  12. ive seen them for sale in aus somewere for like 800bucks they are quite pricy but look dam cool cameron p.s my shimano spheros is still going strong so why pay heaps?
