  1. hey, not sure about muddies but there are plenty of blue swimmers. I managed to eye a massive one on the weekend, in Pipers Bay. Good luck!
  2. I used to live in Tempe when the ban was on. I was of the understanding that it was the heavy metals build up from all the industrial sites along the river that was the real health concern. I had a google and found this : http://www.sciencealert.com.au/news/20112510-22760.html I noticed Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are on the list of chemicals found in the river? At least the fish wont have headaches. But generally it mentions pooh. Lots and lots of pooh.

What they all said. If I can do it, you can. I read the post given above and then found some videos on you tube. I feel much better having done it now and feel much more comfortable when towing. If something goes wrong I know I can look at the problem and get it moving again. I know exactly the parts I need and tools to carry. Give it go.
  4. You really have to stop doing that. I laughed so loud people at work wanted to know what I was laughing at.
  5. My god that is ugly!!! Did it have bad breath?
  6. Brazil and maybe Germany. Although Portugal played better than the Brazilians in the group games I thought. If the Germans don't win this one then they'll do well at the next one. They have a great young team. I hope the A-League takes a little look at the Bundesliga and takes some lessons from there. They have been playing some attractive football too, very un-german like.
  7. My father used to tell me "You know that old saying 'It takes all kinds to make the world go around'? Well it doesn't you know but they're there anyway". Still makes me laugh.
  8. Sorry, I don't agree. It has way more to do with paying commuters slipping on fish guts and making a huge public liability claim. Also, I assume that the loss making Sydney ferries would prefer to not have to pay someone to clean up their wharves. Then there is the night time anglers who piss on til all hours and make too much noise. Have to agree with Puppydawg. If there isn't anybody policing these issues now, who will police the bans?
  9. What a top report. And Jewgaffer, that is just brilliant.
  10. That's a fantastic thing to do Stewie. I do hope my son and I can be involved and look forward to helping out as much as we can. It's a matter that's come up a lot lately and one which is close to my heart. It's just so easy to clean up after yourself but makes so much difference to peoples enjoyment of a place. to be continued . . . . .
  11. Wow....absolutley fantastic photos We had a quick trip up there this school holidays and I really enjoyed it. Definatley a place I will go back to as we only had four days. Not long enough, I say!!
  12. I just picked up a bait trap at a dept. store for $12. I think I was suppose to shopping for 'Back to School' stuff but took a little turn and ended up at the other end of the store. Oops. Scooping them up might be a bit hard. They're quick little buggers. Or you can make one out of a two litre drink bottle.
  13. Agree with above. I tend to only take em if they are a couple of cm's over. Also, be careful of your brag mats. They can also be effected by the sun as they are made of a plastic material. Remember when you would put your twisties packet in the oven and shrink it? Heat and plastic don't mix well.
  14. I think people refer to whiting that size as elbow slappers but that's more arm pit length. That's HUGE.
