  1. hi I was going out too ,but my crew pulled out as well. Happy to join you, Nick
  2. the inlet should be at the top, higher then the outlet if possible. I have a sccop for water pick up as well and have a valve/tap to stop the water flow into the live bait tank when I don't want it Maybe use a jigsaw to cut the section out as long as there is nothing the blade will hit. Use a drill to create the corners then cut the straight lines. Watch the sparks when using an angle grinder. They can damage the paint or worse if close to fuel lines. Cheers Nick
  3. Check your connections to the power supply. I have the navman trackfish6500 and would have issues with the gps dropping out while at sea. I spoke to navman and they suggested to look at these power connections. Have been out only once since then and it did not drop out all day. Worth a look because I know from my unit the red and black wires to connect to the power source are quite small and sometimes may not be connecting 100% all the time. Cheers
  4. By far the best lure I have is the Mcgoo 9inch pusher in lumo / saurie . I bought this from a closing down tackle shop for $30 and has raised three marlin and abou ten YF in just the two seasons I've had it .It also got a 10kg mahi mahi at port stepens last year. The best bargain yet. Can't wait to wet this line again when the marlin are in town.
