    Lake Lyle

The Lake has only 23% water level and is full of green alge It is in a poor state and is not very attractive & inviting In the higher parts like Farmers Creek & were Cox's runs in is a complete carpet of green alge covering the surface all over The alge is all over including near Dam Wall This my 3rd trip to Lake Lyle and proberly the last

  7. You will need to check out water levels as they do close access at times to Lake Lyle The power station at Wallerwrang has closed due to lack of water The water comes via Lake Lyle so it sounds like threr may be no access You can ring Lake Lyle to find out
  8. All you trout fishermen take heart for your next trip to Lake Lyell Okuma catch of the week in last Sunday Telegraph shows a photo of a 68cm Brown Trout caught on lure,
  9. We had 8 fishos with 4 boats attack the Trout at the week end. Weather was against us but went any way A little overcast light showers & no wind & heavy showers at night Only one Rainbow to keep & 2 small ones returned to grow up We fished all Saturday with a poor result -- tried Tassie Devils & worms for bait Plenty of fish on the finder showing up but not ready to play
  10. THANKS FOR THE NEWS ON LAKE LYELL EIGHT FISHOS WITH 4 BOATS ARE GOING THIS WEEK END HOPE THE TROUT ARE READY TO PLAY YOU MUST HAVE FRIGHTENED THEM AWAY SO I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW WE GO THIS WEEK END
  11. Sent out a friend to fish Botany Bay & told him to head out to the Goal Post in the middle of the bay were there is good chance to pick up some Bream etc. He headed into Woollaware Bay & run aground on the oyster leases lokking for the Goal Posts at Shark Park in the distance. Ha! Ha! Ha!
  12. Sounds like agood idea Craig, I could go for more trout on the smoker at Lake Lyell around the camp fire. Will have to confirm with you when it gets closer to the weekend
