Cheers, Gid
  3. Thats beautiful, quite good looking fish and impresive amount of them.I should give it a go with my flyfishing rod.Well done DWAG 90 . Cheers, Gid
  4. Hey mates, In result, that I dont have a boat, because I'm from overseas, I would like to spend sometimes out in the Harbour water. So maybe somebody knows where it would be possible to hire a boat in Sydney area? Thanks in advance, Gid
  5. I tried Barrington Tops in the early spring. In Manning river caught few not a big rainbows on the dry fly, also met some local fisherman and he mention that this river has a good size of trouts.Just for me it was difficult to cast, at this point spinning rod would be the better one. Also I've read some information, that Dilgry river also contain the trouts in it. Cheers, Gid
  6. I caught flathead on the clouser but from the boat, anyway it is one of the best saltwater fly.Because I dont have the boat, on this moment I also looking for some flats to try.I am thinking of camping in Bundeena, and have some fishing in the early morning, when the fish comes in the shallows. Also I thinking of Hen and Chicken bay to try one early morning someday.I lost my full box of saltwater flies during my one fishing,so I have to buy some (because my all tying stuff I left in overseas) ,though I prefer to fish on flies tied by myself.Yes Dear, floating line for flats of 5 feet depth i think is alright but if you would like to cast the fly into some deeper place or the water has waves on the surface, the better option would be the flyline with intermediate sinking tip.For example RIO Saltwater Tropical F/I is the good one. Gid
  7. Thanks maybe I'll try upcoming week i think. Is it possible to wade there?or is too deep? Are you talking about the weir which you can see from Greatern Western Hwy? Gid
  8. Hi guys, can anyone give me advise?I'm thinking about fishing bass from the banks with a flyrod,is it possible?if yes, so which parts of Nepean river can have the best access?or maybe some other rivers have the better access from the bank? Thanks, Gid
  9. Hi guys, I would like to ask is there any chance to hook any trout in rivers on summertime.I'm thinking about hike to Kowmung maybe, is it worth or better to choose another time of the year? Also did anybody try Fish or Duckmaloi rivers with any results? Thanks in advance, Gid
  10. Came back from my Six foot track, and not a lot of fishing had because of bad weather, and too much hours spent on walking. So I had few trout attemts in Coxs river, and thats it.Also lost my photo camera somewhere in Katoomba, and find out that just at home after the trip. So today I came from Sydney back to Katoomba and tried to find it, but its immposible So I stopped at Wentworth Falls to try my luck in the lake, but something maybe I've done wrong.Saw few fishes rising. But my flies seems that doesnt work. Gid
  11. On coming weekend I am going to do Six foot track which goes from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves and crosses Coxs river and also Little river, so maybe I will try my luck in those ones. Also in Christmas I am going to visit Wollondilly river.I just asked about dams because in the near future I would like to fish in some of them too. Cheers, Gid
  12. I need an advise, do I must to have waders to wade in these trout lakes, or wet wading is more better?
  13. Hi guys, I have a question here, maybe anyone can give me advise.I am thinking to have some backpacking trip by train from Sydney to the Blue Mountains in coming weekends. So I am wondering is it possible to get from closest train station to some river which contains trouts and to have a camping close to this river.Or my way of this trip is stupid? Thanks a lot if somebody will answer Gid
  14. Hi Steve, It was the first time for me in Barrington Tops, so I can't give any serious advise.I've met a flyfisher on the bank of Manning river (upper part), he said that there are a lot of good trouts in there. But it is difficult to cast with fly rod because of a lot of scrubs, therefore he had and lures. Also I've tried ISIS river wich is tributary of Hunter river, but I didnt catch anything and the water was very brown, so nothing important. Cheers Gid
  15. iv tried to catch mullet in parramatta river, but no flies had worked for me i can understand why...
