  1. they are 'no longer trading at their current address' according to their website. Pity
  2. WooHoo! Check it Out! Wish I could fish that well!
  3. YABBIE Marine is a site sponsor that sells BlueFin Aluminium boats too. Most of the members only know them for their POLYCRAFT. I bought a Bluefin from them and found that they were honest and good value for money ( BTW I was researching and looking for over 2 years so I think I covered all bases ). Eric and the boys at Yabbie will look after you.
  4. Hi Nick No shortcuts here if you want to stay legal (covered by insurance). You must obtain the manufacturer's towing specs for the given vehicle. If the manufacturer did not issue any specs (possible for a vehicle that age) then the RTA guidelines apply, else the manufacturer's spec takes precedence. You generally cannot defer to the RTA spec just because you haven't obtained the manufacturer's spec. Having said that, the RTA spec tends to be tighter for larger vehicles so risk of getting it wrong are lower but with the smaller 4wd's... has a daihatsu terios rated at only 400Kgs unbraked and 1350Kgs braked. Most trailers dont have brakes until they reach 750Kgs. I therefore don't tow my bluefin with the terios as I would probably be illegal (no trailer brakes). A Suzuki JIMNY (close relative of your sierra) is only rated to 350kgs unbraked and about 1300Kgs braked. hope this helps...
  5. It's 3:56 pm and I am still in the office Bugger
  6. Its 6:42 AM on a Tuesday morning as I look to the left crossing the Cooks River Bridge at Kyeemagh on the way to work. It's absolutely freezing out there as I enjoy the comfort of my nice warm car. Suddenly I see some "poor" bloke on a very nice looking bass/barra punt, wearing a wetsuit, on the river madly reeling in something resonable. I feel like a foolish member of the rat race and would, in an instant, swap my nice warm car for the windy chilly Cook's River Have I caught the bug?
  7. The "blowtorch" rods are "durafix". I would be a little hesitant to use them on an ouboard leg as I am unsure whtjer you would get enough heat into it for them to work effectively. I have used these in automotive applications and have found that the thinner the aluminium (being welded) the better. I had real trouble trying to weld a cast aluminium sump purely from trying to get enough heat into it.
  8. Sydney's Top Fishing Spots published by FPC magazines. The same guys as publish Modern Fishing. I had a quick look at their website but there is currently no reference to this particular mag there. Have just manged to borrow a dog eared and torn copy from one of the guy's at work and done the right thing and restored all the pages to their proper place.
