I try rock fishing around the golf course in Narooma. But l managed to catch some red Cale only. Is there any fish around the rock in narooma? I doubt.

I went currarong fishing with my fds yesterday. The weather was perfect for drummer fishing which was mild wave and cloudy weather. I used to catch a lot of Groper in this spot. But the number of them has decreased due to over fishing. Anyway, l tried fishing drummer in one of the new platform. The result was excellent. When my float was stopped between the rock, the silver drummer took the straight away in 5 secs. All the size are between 35 to 43 cm and landed 15plus. After the sun come up in the afternoon, the bites dropped. I changed my bait to squid. I saw my float was moving up and down and l know a fishing was nippling my bait. I waited until the float going down a bit and the fish was on and it pulled my rod towards the sea. The force was so strong and l know it is a big fish because l used to catch a 50cm plus drummer. My drag make a Sound when the fish was waving the tail. I can only pull up my rod to stop it. Unfortunately, there are too much rocks there and the fish was stuck into the rock. I just broken the line and fish again. Finally l have caught a 43 cm Groper to bring up. All the silver drummer were released and took every rubbish back to the car. No photo has taken because l just fish too hard. Cheers Terry

It has a boat come across and say help us to land the fish...lol but we lose it. I have tried to wind the fish myself first, however, I find out I was too tired so let the other guy help me to hold the rod and wind it. Anyway, I enjoy the fighting time so much and I didn't blame anyone because they lost the fish.

I used dead yellow tail as bait which probably hook up the fish at the bottom. I have fighting with the fish for 8-9mins alone, and the fella said he want to help me to wind the fish so l hand in my rod to him. After that, the drag was setting like 5-6kg, so I want to help him to support the rod too.

we catch it in manly. The biggest snapper is 40cm. Most of snapper is catching by my pro fisho fd leo. I want to catch at least one snapper that day, but still nth, I find out I didnt cast far as his cast. We only use prawns as the bait. Any snapper expert can share their static on catching big snapper landbase because my fd told me he already get busted off within two days. cheers terry

I caught a 45cm drummer in around swimming pool 2months ago. Very strange that only that week is on fire. I try another 2 weeks waiting drummer in the same place, but catch nth. I normally use float and prawns as bait.

l got a 51 cm last sat....but only like 2.5kg..ur big drummer is nice great effort

Definitely I like surgeon fishing more than blackies...Didnt have luck today on suregery fish. The big blackies just got it within a minutes.

Hi guys, It is a nice day today. I caugth one luderick by prawn in P2... around 42-43cm.....fat..and strong fight..... Also,one metre king come around...looking at my trevally.. But no hook up. However,I still call it a gd fishing day today. Regards Terry

l use prawns as the bait. I know it got some monster surgeon there. Because l was being pull on sunday. They run like feight trainand my reel is scremaing. l only hold for 5second and busted. Damn, l only use 12lb leader..haha...one day l will put it out. thats wt l look like when l was fighting with those surgeon..haha

l am so happy to catch my first suregon fish...30cm+ So l want to share my happiness to u guys..... l have fillet it and try my first surgeon fillet tonight any fella know any sauce matching with surgeon? cheers terry
