  1. Some lawn porn while we wait for Noel to sell his house 😃 Swordies obsession. Even our 3 year old granddaughter loves watering and doing gardening.
  2. The measurements on this pictures are not accurate. Submit any others but ensure the measuring mat or tape is positioned properly. The mat must be flat please.
  3. You boys are very lucky that Derek gives his time. There are many experts in this community that will help with questions. Fishraider is known for this Glad to see you getting out there and putting the info into practice.
  4. Not showing swordie that hat. He also has a hat selection. He bought a $60 one last week. Caps there are dozens and dozens. By the way is that a Viridian shirt?
  5. We love the mower shop. He has bought a few new mowers when replacement needed. He buys blades and parts it’s a wonderful and very helpful place. Geez that’s a shocker Fab!!
  6. @Fab1 ahhhh another that mows every 2nd day. Swordie keeps our lawn like a bowling green and mows 2nd daily. He fertilises and waters and watches like a hawk for mole crickets. He takes his bucket outside at night listens for the noise and pours soapy water down any suss areas to kill them. People walk along our street and compliment him on the lawn. Children and dogs want to roll in it because it is so soft and lush. You will never find a bindi or a weed in this lawn. He grows beautiful flowers too. Last week swordie had an operation on his abdomen (nothing serious). He is not supposed to be mowing lawns or lifting etc. People were pulling up in cars wondering what was wrong as the lawn was growing very long with all the rain. We had people offering to mow. I am looking after his wound which is now clean, dry and healed. For my sanity I gave him permission to mow and away he went. Pretty sure he will mow it again today! I will throw some pics in shortly. No battery mower here. Fabian, I am sure that you use the same mower shop nearby that has been here for years. Noel if you don't like mowing hire someone to do it. I have never touched a mower in my life
  7. Did you sell yours yet Noel?
  8. Thanks very much Mike for this. Members need to go to the Deckee shop to use the Deckee Marketplace. You can find that under “Deals” in your drop down menu here when logged in. No linking to direct shops please. Any queries direct them to me in the first instance or mod team.
  9. So glad your girls are enjoying the fishing. The Forster area is always great. We used to stay in the NRMA Forster Tuncurry Holiday Park when we would visit Stewy's Mum (RIP) in our caravan. They have cabins and fantastic amenities/activities for kids. It is right on a waterway. That was a long wait for takeaway!! Good job you seized the opportunity to go for a fish. Hope you tried Beach Bums cafe on main beach or the very BEST place to get takeaway (seafood) is down at the Wallis Lakes Fishermen's Co Op. All raiders carry "just in case" gear. We are going soon to have a few weeks away fishing and swordie is making "just a few more spinnerbaits". He has painted "just a few more lures" and added some special reflective eyes. It never stops does it Thanks for a great report Mike. I am sure that info will help many that may venture to the area.
  10. WTG Amy and a special on her birthday You two are really enjoying your time together fishing. Another great report and thanks Dave
  11. That is massive and cheap at that price! We could almost hold a raider social there Noel
  12. These are the reports I love! Bless your 83 year old Dad. I bet he is a little tired today but he will be feeling very pleased with himself. Great captures there for everyone and feeds for your family @whiskey299

  14. Lovely to see the family Sam! They really look like they enjoy the trips out fishing.

  17. This is sounding like millionaires row!! I am sure most of the readers are not in your position. I presume you bought your house many years ago Noel. It would now be worth a lot more of course. As we age we do not know what is around the corner. There are lots of compelling reasons for the move. Moving could be because you don’t need a large house anymore. Kids grow up and move out and even not live locally. Consider your health. That can change overnight and the amount of money or property you have becomes irrelevant. You may sadly lose a partner, wife or husband. I have lost many friends too early. I always thought I would stay working until I was 65 and then have tons of super. A wise person said to me “how long do you think you will live”? How much money will you need? I had a major health scare and my thoughts changed dramatically. Another couple we know sold their beautiful palace with everything that opened and shut. They are very keen fishos and they bought into an over 50’s community. They absolutely love it. They get in their caravan and travel around all winter fishing. We constantly see pics of captures at Cahill’s Crossing, King Ash Bay etc etc. They are enjoying what is left of their life. The time is approaching where they will be unable to manage caravanning soon. Enjoy life while you are able. Give kids money now and watch them enjoy it. No need to watch them struggle. Comments above are general and not directed at you Noel. Hope it works out for you. Spend all those extra dollars and pay for the removalists. Go away on a big holiday of your dreams. Hire an interior designer who will get painters and make any changes/improvements needed while you are away!! Not much to be nervous about. Move forward
  18. Thanks for the discussion on this widely broadcasted event. I am closing it now as it has been resolved. The person has been identified and fined. mrsswordie
  19. Sorry to hear that health news @Paikea. Hope you are able to keep any pain under control and I am sure you have a great medical team to support you. You are doing what you need to do and your grandkids take priority. They will remember the billy cart. Lets hope they win on that special cart. Donna
  20. Thanks waza ! Thanks to all the members for input and creation of wonderful and informative reports. Without you we have no fishraider. A big thank you to all our moderators who assist me to keep this a happy and special place. 2024 is here and may you all get PB’s 🎣🐠🐟
  21. Shocking story @Yowie This is why swordie and I banned spear fishing posts here in fishraider many years ago. It isn’t catch and release is it!! The poor fish have no chance at all.
