  1. Thanks guys for the replies i was pretty sure you could but couldnt fiind any online.
  2. Just a quick Question im sure someone will know the answer for I want to know if you can get a Shimano T-Curve 24kg rod with the bent butt or do they only come with a straight butt.
  3. Congratulations to Adrian Loves on Khe Sahn from Wollongong GFC who took out the heaviest Yellowfin with his 75.6 kg fish. Wollongong GFC did well also taking out the T&R male category, well done Adrian White on Storyteller, storyteller also took out 2nd highest T&R Team. Barbara Ganatra on Cat Christine from JB took out female T&R. Canberra GFC also did well taking out 2nd Heaviest Yellowfin and Next Heaviest Yellowfin with 64.4kg by Craig Morris on Barely Legal and Mark Veal with 60.4kg on Santone. Also congratulations to Mehmet Huseyin a small fry who took out heaviest Marlin with a 128 kg Striped Marlin on 24kg, a great effort for a small fry and a potential record. Overall the tournament was a great weekend, unfortunately with one day blown out. The numbers of fish where down a little from last year but the quality of those captured was up with a range of fish in the 50 -60kg range captured. Thank you to all who came down and braved the weather forecasts, we where all rewarded with some good fish and a great weekend at the marquee. A huge thank you to the sponsors of our event and also to the committee and volunteers who's hard work ensures the event can go ahead each year. Look forward to seeing you all again next year.
  4. Thanks for that Warnie, Well Done to "Khe San" Good fish in what was a rather quiet comp, We Fished it for all Zeros. Cheers
  5. Do you Know which boat got the 75kg Fin.
  6. I have fished 6 days in the last 2 weeks from Bermi to Ully and every trip i have seen 2-3 longliners shooting lines between 90-1000 fathoms. They are doing there best to clean the ocean from fish and i am retty sure its working as im raising less and less fish, from 8 marlin raised in a day to 0 the last few trips. Just seems a bit to hard to belive there not taking the bulk of the fish.
  7. yeah mate sounds good send us a pm
  8. Thanks Frigate, mate I agree that does look like a great boat. How old is it and what sort of 150 is on the back and whats it like on fuel ? Dave Hey Dave its a 2004 model with a 2 stroke Yamaha 150Hp on it. I usually go thru around 150-170 litres in a full day of trolling out wide. It's rather thirsty but this is what most outboards go thru i think. Would be interesting to get other Raiders fuel consumptions to compare. Deffinatly recommend opting for a Four stroke or Etec motor. Stu
  9. The Back seat pulls out really easy. we usually troll with it in and then toss it up the front when/if the fish turn up.
  10. Hey Mate I have a 6 m Tabs which i use for gamefishing on the south coast from Jb to Bermy it has a 150hp outboard its a good boat I didnt have to do much to it in the way of setting it up they come with lots of good features standard. We have fished in some very ordinary conditions and it has handled it well. The only thing i dont like about it is that dosnt cut thru the choppy seas very well. You really have to pick your speed heading out if the conditions arnt favorable. But i think that is the case with most boats of this size specially made of tin. All in all there a great boat to fish out of with a lot of fishing room for the size. we have caught a decent amount of fish from it so cant complain. Cheers Stu
  11. Anybody fish the light tackle tournie in Shoalhaven on the weekend? Much Caught???
  12. Do you have Chips & Tarter sauce too. Ill be there!!!
  13. Hey Luke, The Bar there is good, Your best spot to launch would be from Hanging rock boat ramp. Which is Left off Beach road about 1 Km past the marina. As for snapper im think there are a few around i would head out to Durras near Richmond bombie or so. There should be some Albacore out wider if your into the gamefishing at all. We'll be outwide on sunday if the weather is good ( Which it's supposed to be) Call up Frigate on the radio if you want to know anything. Cheers Stu
  14. Hey Choad, Have you tried ET's Escape Travel sickness Pills, I used to get seas sick quite often so i tried them after a mate reccomended them to me & Have never felt so good out at sea. I can even stop and cube now outwide. I gave them to a few friends who normaly suffer from seasickness too & and it has been working for them aswell. Might be worth a try if you havnt already. Theres possible no worse feeling in the world than hanging over the side of your boat heaving your guts up. You can only get them from Bova Chemist. Cheers Stu
