  1. Hi Raiders, Boat C/S: TUBSIE Rego: SLRN 565 Stacer Bowrider Radio: 27MHz Channel: 88 Home: Lake Macquarie
  2. I tink you will find what you are looking for if you are patient. My Wife found a Stacer 565 2003 model with 120hrs on it. We had our Dad's check it out and they said even if we buy it for the price the seller is selling it for its a great buy. Our boat is a Bowrider but I have kitted it out with a removeable live bait tank which works brilliantly. Changed out all of the plastic rod holders for Attwood S.S. one's. Made a big difference. I think the best thing about our boat is the versatility. I dive off it, fish, inshore and offshore. Very stable. Water ski as well, the 135hp Evinrude pulls me clean out of the water even with 5 people on board. Great boat, Keep looking.
  3. Thanks Chopper. I thought the boys would be good for it down at Huett! Will probably get it done in August.
  4. Hi all, can anyone recommend a reputable dealer that can fit a second battery to my Stacer and wire in a paralleling isolator switch. It's the redundancy that I'm after for when I'm outside fishing or using a lot of auxilliaries at anchor! Thanks Raiders, Troy
  5. Hi Dave, we fitted a foil to the leg after a few outings made us decide to go down that route mainly because we couldn't get on the plane early enough. The foil fixed the planing problem but we still heel over at speed. I think I will fettle with the fin some more and see how we go. Cheers, Troy
  6. Hi Steve, send me an e-mail to riderzx10r05@yahoo.com.au and I will forward you fotos of my set up and how to isolate different metals to prevent galvanic corrosion. It works really well, I'm stoked with the set up, never had a fish die on my watch, ha, ha! Troy
  7. Thanks for the feedback Gary and Huey. I'm currently O.S. at the moment but I can get my Father In-Law to meet up with you Huey. I did adjust the little wing when we first realised a problem but maybe I'm going the wrong way or I need to adjust it a little more! Thanks again, Troy. P.S: Love the boat, my wife and I use it for skiing, diving, and fishing. Iv'e kitted it out with a removeable live bait tank that works a treat as well as the Scotty Downrigger. New Attwood Stainless rod holders. Yep, cant fault her all bar the trim. But this sounds like an easy fix, Thanks again.
  8. Hi guys, if anyone from Huet can give me a little bit advice on my Stacer it would be great. Last year my Wife and I bought a 2nd hand Stacer 565 Bowrider 2003 model. The boat is near new to look at and we have no prblems with it at all, however! There seems to be a problem when we are under power with stability. My Wife weighs only 50 odd Kgs and I'm bordering 90gs. When I'm driving and even when my Wife is in the centre of the vessel, it tends to heel over to port quite noticeably. I have checked and double checked weight distribution etc regarding the heeling problem but dont seem to be able to rectify it. If there is anyone who has any idea on how to fix the problem I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not looking at spending money on electric stabilisers however if fixed stabilisers is the answer then I will go down that path. Thanks for any advice Raiders! Troy
  9. Be down in Narooma from the 8th January. Any raiders keen to meet up for some fishing, let us know. Troy
  10. Hey mate, If you have enough tools to completely remove the ram. Remove the ram! Dont do the seal job on the engine, your seals need to be installed very carefully or you will end up doing it again. I would love to help but I'm overseas. If you can wait till after Xmas I'll give you a hand though. Troy
  11. I think if you have really clean terminals, are coated with some Vaseline and you have decent covers over the terminals themselve to prevent an accidental arcing you should be O.K. A simple pre-boating check of your battery along with your other checks should leep your mind at ease. Troy.
  12. Thanks for that. Will be going out as soon as I get home. I will give you a buzz! Troy
  13. Hi everyone. Can anyone form the Lake Macquarie area tell me where to go offshore from Swansea. Any info on reefs or where the shelf is and how many miles etc would be great. You see I have just purchased a boat finally after all these years, would really loved to hear form anyone who has been out there and if your'e keen to catch up for an offshore fish over Xmas. Troy
  14. Hi Choad, I work on a motoryacht overseas an Italian one at that which doesn't like the seas and when it turns ugly almost half the crew turn to the Travelcalm or something similar. I eat but it takes the form of vegemite sangas. I'll have enough so my stomach isn't just empty with acid floating around. I think the bread soaks up any fluid and swells a bit which works for me! Give it a go next time you get hungry whilst you are out there or your'e feeling a little under the weather. Troy
