  1. Started to have the exact same feeling mate.... this wind doesn't help the cause to get out more frequently as well.... The Midday NE aster seems to creep up much earlier now RRRRRRRRR
  2. Headed out early and all quiet regarding Dolphins Fish only 1 or 2 strays around of just legal around the 65cm mark. Heap of Rat Kings running around chasing baits. Looks like a late season this year and warm water only now starting to show up around Sydney. 23.6oC BB wide.
  3. Exactly mate...they have absolutely decimated the joint.... the locals are fuming mad and I have heard from a mate who lives on Tura Beach that there has been a Berma trawler working just 100mtrs off the beach..... what is wrong with these bastards
  4. Well my Cuzz and a few mates on our normaly early run down to Eden for a weeks relaxing and fishing.....well definitely more relaxing. We got outside looking for the FAD but our luck it had gone missing the we went wide on the shelf and trolled for most of the day as the winds were calm and seas flat but all quiet. only 2 boats recored strikes and 1 managed to snare a 124kg Black Marlin on the edge of the shelf. Then the whole week was a total write off due to the strong NE winds outside blowing 20 to 30 notts and it didn't want to ease up ffs.... so it was then fishing in close but as always hard to find a legal fish plenty of undersized Flathead and well Kingfish doesn't seem to exist anymore down this neck of the woods thanks to all the long liners and the scumbag Gelong Star which was working the areas off green cape and Eden. its now 5 years in a row fishing down here and this year was the worst so its goodbye Eden don't think we will be back in a hurry. Realy not sure what they are going to do when the local fishing comp starts this week..lol
  5. Well I thought Id venture out on what was a great day I would of thought for hopefully bringing back a feed but it was just another day of undersized rubbish which seems to be following me around Started out from the Bay of empty LOL (Botany Bay) and headed out to the Fads inner and outer. Currents outside were the fastest Ive seen in a long time hardly any wind and both FADS almost under water with a 3km per hour current racing. water temp 26oC and got as far as 27.4oC outside 2nd FAD. Plenty of Dollies about but all fish no bigger than 50cm incredible. Little shy in taking anything but did manage a few to chew on small halco slices and the odd taking a skirt. Just got me buggered where the big fish are hiding Also trolled for an hour or so between the 2 FADS hopefully bring up a stripey but also to no avail. Oh well perhaps next trip out if it happens.....LOL
  6. I did see the colour of the water for the last 2 weeks preety ordinary. I don't fish the bay anymore only to catch live bait if you can find them.... nothing but rubbish and undersized fish coming from this joint. outside is the go!
  7. should head just outside the heads mate... double the size if you have the right bait
  8. Excellent work.....LOL now stick the squid on a live bait rig for a KING and hang on and you will have another to add to your list LOL. Good one mate.
  9. Hey Fishos just wondering if anyone has been getting any fin in close from Browns yet. Notice this weeks current line could be pushing some warm water not to far out off Sydney heads looking like 35kms out. Cheers Boys.
  10. Went out for a run Sunday more to give the new motor a run and decided to head to the Port Hacking FAD 22kms and back again. Never ever have I seen so much bait in a big radius of water, from 5kms out to 22kms there was just an ocean of bait balls everywhere. I trolled out a few deep divers under the schools but nothing of interest. Only the dolphins seem to be the ones having a feed. All I can say its going to be 1 heck of a Tuna season this year and when they smell that bait in the water its going to be mayhem out there. Water Temp went from 20oC 5kms to 22.1oC 22kms out. Cant wait
  11. Went out yesterday mate just to take the new motor for a run and headed out to the 22km FAD off Port Hacking and there were more bait balls then birds out there. Never seen so much bait from 5km to 22 km it was just bait everywhere. Trolled a few deep diver rapalas but nothing. Had a few bait get caught up on the lures all slimmeys. No Tuna sightings but I tell ya it will go off once they find that bait. Another month and it will be full steam ahead
  12. mother in law fish buddy...give it to the mother in law...lol sargent baker
  13. Awesome time of the year with the NE ters buzzing off and leaving some nice flat water and light winds. Headed out with the cuzz to the current line change of 26oC and it didn't take long in matter of fact first cast a cracking 85cm Dollie hook up and in the boat and from then on end it was busy. We bagged out in 3 hours with fish going from 65cm to 75cm and the only big boy of 85cm. All caught on baits jigs and slices. Tight Lines
  14. Absolute joke guys I hear ya's...have been a a few times in and outside Botany Bay and the place is an absolute joke how can you cart around several live baits and dead baits 4 rods out the back of the boat and not even a run on any bait that goes in the water travelled over 20kms of water from coogee down to jibbon and a big fat zero. Heaps of bait on the surface but nothing chasing them. Only reports im hearing is Marlin being caught outside and a few dollies appearing near the fads. Im not sure what is going on with Kingies this season they seemed to have vanished. Very frustrating when it costs you $60 of fuel every trip out and coming back with 0 Can anyone give me positive results anyone
  15. Gday Fishos anybody fished Jervis Bay of late? Love to hear some reports
