  1. Thanks, I usually high with plastics, might ge t up early one day and try some surface lures. I imagine 2" gulp shrimp should work. Again, thanks for telling me, not a bad thing I guess. Gives the local fish a go. Stay well B
  2. I was up that way on my yak last week. There are some huge whiting up there. I hope to be there this week. Will file a report.
  3. Hi Raiders, Are you allowed to pump nippers on Bantry Bay?
  4. Well done mate. That is truly special.
  5. That pain in the arms can become addictive. BUT, next time (if you try again), don't fight with the paddles, slow down and use the water, push your boat along, not drag it. Kayak is fishing can be a whole lot of fun, ridiculously complicated, painful, frustrating, fun and wonderful all at the same time. Great story, the pain goes away, I started with my Yak about 4 years ago, I can do 10 hr sessions rthese days without straining too much. You just need to watch that getting up at the end, my 56 years old legs sometimes seem to have forgotten that their job is walking when I get back. Stick with it, be fine. Thanks for the giggle.
  6. I love them, my go to bait in most situations. Have caught bream, flathead and even a confused whiting on them. I use the pumkinseed in as many shapes as I can find and they all seem to work. But then as the salesman says "On their day, all lures catch fish"
  7. I'd be in tihs, but I don't have a live fish tank in the Yak, I either take a photo and let them go, or take a photo and dispatch for dinner. What constitutes and acceptable live tank? I have a Cobra Pro-Fisherman with an insulated tank, I guess I could run an aerator through that. If anyone has ideas, I'm all ears. Otherwise I guess I'll go fishing as usual. Stay well
