  1. Petrol is hard to find on my part of the river. Most long weekends we have boats pull up to the jetty needing fuel. Maybe I should sell it at a huge markup and give up work.
  2. Pedro, all around Laughtondale. The water temp is up. When the water is all but mud hang on.
  3. I apologize, this is a copy of another post of mine. Big reversal today. Spent the tide on the upper H. 8 jew to 60cm, 2 small bream plus crap, all released, a fantastic day. The water is still dirty and the sounder at times thinks it is solid mud. The best day I have had this week. wooha!! oh what a differance.
  4. Who has the definative answer. When at anchor should the sounder be on or off? With my skill level I have seen no differance ( always catch very little ) but that is my problem. Who has the answer????

  6. Left home around 9 headed straight for bar pt. As we arrived so did a sneeky wind. The thought out of the wind would be good, so I headed for the western end of Milson Is. Berley trail going, hours passed, and then 1 pike eel. ooh la la. Back home at 13:00 for a fish of the jetty. Try again tomorrow up river.
  7. I hope the H'bury has a big change in the next few days for the classic's sake. I fished from the Cave to Laughtondale today for 1 ray and 2 brown eels. I will try Bar point tomorrow.
  8. This is the way. Your clean, their clean. WD40 to finish.
  9. Plan to replace old finder with new Lowance LMS-337CDF. If all goes well BB on Sunday to try it out.
  10. T-Vinny, The others are 100%. The only thing I can add that under the o/b cover everything is ready for WD40 after each day out. When not in use (2 months or more) every time you walk past the boat move the helm from side to side.

This is mine. Found on the Hawkesbury unofficial name 'MUDRUNNER'. Seafarer Viking.
  12. Thanks for the input. At times on the hawkesbury when the tides are up your berley flashes away from the boat in no time. I have tried mixes of the bits you mentioned and froze it into balls and dropped them in. I was hoping this might hang around a bit longer.
  13. Hi all this is my first post. I tend to do a bit of bream fishing under most conditions and always wonder what is the best way to berley? On top, on the bottom, midwater, all at once. Any input would be appreciated.
