  1. very well done mate. we had a great session last saturday night before the storm.
  2. they are herrings and they are absolutely everywhere in the hawkesbury
  3. i have been waiting for an opportunity to bring this up. its great what they are doing but i think they should fix all the nav poles in the river before they go out and target us punters. Some don t work or flash reallty lightly amongst a few which throws you off. i fish the river regularly and still find it confusing, its very dangerous and should be addressed. who do we speak to?
  4. In the last few weeks we have managed quite a few good jew around the 15kg mark, nothing massive but they are definatly around
  5. the bloke at Parsley bay is getting paid.... also the information collected is for the DPI and the statistics used will be presented under sustainability issues in the near future. Very important information which i dont like sharing with them, i think it can only be negative
  6. tides are aweful wrong moon phase. id still give it a go but ill wait 5 more days
  7. isnt that swansea bridge? awesome pics mate
  8. all the bait is up river thats where the fish will be. start at bar drift to pumpkin 3 or 4 times on the mangrove side. very productive. if that fails head to spencer
  9. yeah you can hire them. but whats wrong with the black topender?
  10. opposite the dog park park on the wharf at newport arms also bayview boat ramp holds some squid at night at the jetty
  11. good luck mate.... ill be out there soon enough, just hope the traffic won t be so bad over the holiday period
  12. Palm beach is a smear memory of what it used to be. Mate what i suggest is get into your street directory and search for little beaches, ocean or pittwater wharfs etc. t Then go searching, back yourself at your new spots as long as they got the right characteristics and you will be pleasantly suprised
  13. awesome awesome awesome.... if only my girlfiend could go near fish. well done
  14. cheers guys its good to be here
  15. i dont think its so in depth you may have to change your approach but the fish are still there and you can really clean up if your fishing the right places. I remember on our last big tides a change in spots produced 3 jew 6-10kg right on the change of tide and on the next tide right on the change a 21kg that was on the full moon. its more about changing your approach rather than fish going off the bite its all about thinking outside the square
  16. mate dont be disheartened for one you were fishing in a area where the current would have been running stronger than any other part of the river hence the bridge is built where it narrows therefore creates a bottle neck and you get a great surge in water and with the huge tides i believe your plastics wouldn t have even touched the bottom, secondly those smaller fish normally sit out of the current in these conditions, places like porto bay would have been a better option i believe tight lines
  17. i catch my own and buy it Goulds squid that is and let me tell you the jews don t discriminate if they have been frozen. in saying that you must freeze them properly so they preserve there qualities eg skin colour, eyes, and smell.
  18. was heading the weather in the end will get the better of it good luck to anyone who gets out there
  19. bad weather is one thing i love fishing in. The rain most of all keeps the water traffic to a minimum which i think has a posative effect on fishing. after a huge amount of rain i no in my neck of the woods the catches decline and will normally take a couple of weeks before the action gets back to normal.
