I used to live around there and three or four mornings (1 hour before sunrise) a week I used to go down there and chase various fish. I found that whole live squid was the best. Depending on the time of the year - Great for Black fish - A few snapper - King Fish near the wash, need to watch the birds they will be ontop of the king fish and when the come close to shore get your live bait in there. - Australian Salmon At night - Very large squid off the tip. - Various Sharks BUT be very careful, it is extremely dangerous. I am pretty careful and have lots of experience, but still I got washed in two or three times. The waves come onto the rock very quickly and with a lot of power. I never went out when the waves were more than 1.5 mtrs.

Sussex Inlet 2hrs before change of tide with live mullet = Big flathead. I say we give that a go on Firday night.

We had some luck there with these kings. There appears to be a few schools out there. Some are not interested and some are very interested. We just kept moving from school to school until some took. Mostly on large plastics.
