thanks for the report i went out thrusday and picked up some dollies off the traps in closer. and if anyone does run a trap over could you tie them back up,there is no point cutting them loose cause thats what is attracting the fish and what your trying to fish next to anyway cheers luke

we are either slow trolling or drifting on the bait but we are mainly running our livies from the outrigger so dont use them that much except if we use spin gear.

if your running strait from the rod tip u can use a release clip from DUBRO,it is cable tied to your rod and you can adjust the tension of it to suit line thickness or how hard the livie pulls once it pulls out of the clip its strait to freespool then MARLIN ON!!! cheers luke

i have the QL trim tabs on my boat and the are worth every cent!!

the 18000 has a higher gear ratio,so it is better suited for popping and stickbaits and the 20000 has a lower gear ratio which makes it easier to jig with and crank fish up under heavy drags.although there are still big fish caught on both reels... cheers luke
