  1. Hi Guys, Just wanted to see if anyone can give me any ideas on how to clean my squid jigs, reason being is because they smell like crap from the EgiMax spray I use all the time. What is the best way to clean them as well as my tackle box and how often should I clean and service my reels? Thank You Zaki
  2. Hi folks, I have been tried to catch at Wanda Beach and other spots in Cronulla and just wondering whether my gear set up is suitable for this area: I am using a single 3/0 suicide hook and a metal pilchard lure (the suicide hook is at the bottom while the metal lure is at the top part) of a 40cm leader tied to a swivel and a sinker (150grams). I use small pieces of pillies through the suicide hook. Hope I can catch tailor/salmon. Yeah, it sounds pretty amateur but I am looking forward to moving on. Thanks! Fernando.
  3. Just wondering why is it really hard to find straight hooks with an offset eye? I have been taught to use a straight hook for livies so that the point doesn't dig back into the fish. What if I want to add a stinger hook, i.e. double snell? Obviously you need an offset eye for a snell knot or the sharp edge of the eye may cut/weaken the line. I was at the tackle shop and I couldn't find any straight hooks with offset eyes. What hook do you use for double snell for livies whether it be big squid or large yakka/slimies?
