Hi Everyone, I have been to Clifton Garden multiple times and I have caught breams and the occassional snappers here and there. I am now after a different kind of fish: the salmons, the kingies, the bonitos etc. I have seen those who were more successful with these kinds of fishes were all ISO float-fishers. Although I don't have an ISO rod, I figure I could still tie a floating rig. Only issue is my bait is completely untouched. I am assuming that it comes to depth as cast distance, time-of-day and bait-type is the same. Only factors I could assume is that I have my line at roughly 4-5m deep and burley (my line is near, but not exactly in it) I am starting to think that I am getting this all wrong. Does anyone have suggestion on depth or anything otherwise that may increase my chances? Thanks in advance

Hi all, New to fishing in Sydney. I went the other day to Clifton gardens and caught few slimy mackerel. I saw a lot of people taking them home for eating. I was wondering is the fish safe to eat? Since its connected to Parramatta river? I know you can't really eat fish from the parra river, I wanted to know if this would apply to slimy mackerel at Clifton gardens. Maybe some of the veterans can shed some light. (I'm fairly new to fishing and this forum, my apologies if I posted this in the wrong section. Cheers!

Like various other members, I have been wondering where are the fish at Clifton Gardens, Bradley Head, and Port Jackson in general ? Well a mate of mine caught 4 JDs, endless Salmon, 2 legal size Kings and lost a 100cm King and it is not even November. The JDs and Kings were taken on live Yakkas of about 10 cms and the bigger baits were not touched. After about 8:30am a bait wasn't touched and the Salmon were all caught on lures
