Gday raiders, Left the beauty of Port Stephens this morning and headed north with my good mate Dom for a weeks fishing in Wooli. Arrived at 11am, and headed straight out to the breakwall to check the bar. Not much water so we checked in, got our gear ready and waited a while. With pretty sloppy seas and breezy conditions we pushed on and gave the bar a crack! This is not for the faint hearted nor the inexperienced but once we got out we were hoping the seas would settle down. Finally managed to get out on the boat on Sunday to chase some tuna with the old man. Was slow going, particularly compared to the reports from last weekend, with only two YFT ~10kg called in on the radio throughout the day. However, persistence paid off and we managed to land this beast ~20km SE of Browns late in the afternoon on the troll. Weighed in at over 50kg and almost beat me for height - awesome fish and definitely a new PB YFT off Sydney

I took my Girlfriends nice fishing combo (that i bought her for her birthday) for a quick walk this morning while she was at work. Managed a nice feed to keep her happy. I've been using black magic kl 1/0 circle hooks recently as i was sick of gut hooking fish and re rigging. They work a treat. Dinners sorted! She cant be too annoyed at missing out, She nailed this nice 80cm King the other Sunday after persisting and keeping away from the weekend Floatillas.
