choad Posted February 12, 2007 Share Posted February 12, 2007 caught a few of these in port hacking. regulars at the wharf I catch them call them frigate mackerel or bonito depending on who you talk to on the day. looks like a watson's leaping bonito to me. any suggestions? Cheerio Roberta thanks. i saw that article but couldn't make out the colours too clearly from the pictures. they look like they have smaller heads with pointier mouths. They change pretty quickly once they are out of the waterr. In the water, they are almost the pale blue colour on the bottom of the 'Fishraider' Sticker shown above this forum. You will find they are the only member on that family ( from memory ) that actually have a white spot or mark on it.
