...could someone post a pic of a frigate mackerel?...

Hi Choad

Check out the Raider link

http://www.fishraider.com.au/articles/frigate/

They also appear as bright pale blue when in the water - getting darker as they are out of the water. They go like the clappers & are great fun on light gear.

thanks.

i saw that article but couldn't make out the colours too clearly from the pictures.

they look like they have smaller heads with pointier mouths. Anyone have a close up pic of one?

also, how do the watson's bonnies rate as bait compared to frigates?

Here is another one - but it doesn't show it's real 'blue' colours - but the silver bullet sides are pretty right! They change pretty quickly once they are out of the waterr. In the water, they are almost the pale blue colour on the bottom of the 'Fishraider' Sticker shown above this forum.

Hi Guys,

To tell its a watson as i think we all know it is by now raise the dorsal fin of its spine. You will find they are the only member on that family ( from memory ) that actually have a white spot or mark on it.

Either way i have to agree with Clarkie, on light 4 ib braid and a flick stick they fight like tyson.. DIRTY.
