0 slothe
If you like catching them come down to Port Kembla and you will catch all you want, but on the bright side they are found in similar places as snapper, mowies etc. so keep plugging away! 0 marcel haber
seargent baker no size limit no value Noah, This is one of the best eating fish if you dont mind the bones. It has sweet meat which just peels of the backbone. you can cook it as a fish soup or wrap in foil and squeeze with lemon and mixed herbs and bake. Dont let anyone tell you that they are not good eating, there flesh and taste is very similar to that of a flathead. twin

0 Tony Soprano
As mentioned previously they make very good cut baits for plenty of other species... I've witnessed a 1m+ king taken on a solid chunk of sergeant baker...
0 Jaybee
I've never bothered to eat one but I believe that the meat is quite good, its just all the bones. We always fillet them up for bait. A fresh bit of baker, mate nothing can refuse it. Regards Jeff.
