Gdayyyyyyyyy Raiders,

This will be one of the largest posts on Fishraider and the pictures will be coming thick and fast from a lot of people :1yikes:

The Social was wonderful and with so many people attending we couldnt have asked for more.

The weather was awesome and the fishing was hot.

I will be starting off the thread but many others will add to it :biggrin2:

Donna and I arrived at the Park at Dunlieth on Thursady arvo around 1.30 pm and moved straight in.

Off too the shops for grocerys and after we stocked the fridge with goodies we were set.

Right on cue Wildfish(Luke ) rocks up and greets us.We quickly get his boat into the water and decide to try and have a fish off the beach out the front.

We get to the beach and its really filthy with so much fresh running out of the lake its almost unfishable and weed was a pest as well.

After reading Pelagics report on the forums we decided to find Budgewoi Beach :biggrin2:

We set off in the late evening and got lost as we both have never been up that way before. After a few quick runs from the car and over the sand hills ,Luke comes back telling me that there is a great gutter right in front of him and looks great. We quickly get the gear ready and with in a few mins we are standing on the beach and it looks great.Out with the baits and we get a salmon straight away and then a few more hits and we are stoked.

We decide to call it a night around 7.30 and aim to hit the same spot very early on Friday morning.

Up at 4 .30 and we are off too the baech which has a high tide around 6 .20 :yahoo:

Perfect conditions and hardly any swell.Chuck out a pillie and bang straight onto a nice Salmon before Luke even gets into the water :1yikes:

The fishing is fast and furious and we have one of the best beach sessions I have ever had.

They are lining up to scoff our offerings and we oblidge.

Salmon are being hooked all over the beach and its a great sight to see this sort of action.

The Salmon bit right up till 10 am and mixed in were some really interesting fish.

I scored 3 Watsons Leaping Bonito in 3 successive casts and my first for this species.

2 great Tailor and one which was close to 50 cms and a nice bream as well.

We landed over 15 Salmon and only kept the ones that we couldnt get the hooks out of and it was a buzz releasing them back into the suds :yahoo:

We had a double hook up and a guy walking down the beach took a most remarkable shot or both of us with the sun rising in the back ground.

Thanks for the company Luke it was awesome to fish with you on such a hot bite and we repeated the dose in the coming days and that will be reported on as the post gaiins momemtum.
