arpie Posted May 29, 2007 Share Posted May 29, 2007 Hi guys Bring your boats with you!! I seriously reckon there may be more action in the lake as it has been a bit quiet along the wall!! We may have to organise a 'deckie' system to get some 'land based' fishos into boats!! Failing that, we have excellent hire boats available up here, just not first thing in the morning! I got into the fish on the top of the tide this morning - so that will suit the weekend well, with high tide being about midday + on Sat & Sun! Went out to the Breckinbridge Channel this morning in my kayak & it was absolutely glorious!! Using my now 2 week old Byron Bay weed, I got 2 nice fish - one 35cm!! Peaceful Breckinbridge Channel I am sure he is smiling at me!!! Lots of fish in the channels - just cruising along the weedbeds. WHen moving from one spot to another, don't rush!! Just follow the weedbeds & you'll spot the fish! Sometime, fish over the weed beds - you may be fishing as shallow as 2ft! That is where some of the fish are!! Not many sleeps now ....
