Howdy people

Spent some time up Port Stephens way over the last week. The terrible weather killed most of my fishing plans, but I still managed to fit in a few sessions on some local rivers and some further flung secrets spots...

Got a magnificent 50cm to fork (53cm overall) bass on a Taylor Made Surface Breaker one morning, and picked up another few good fish in the low 40s over the other days plus scores of the usual river rats.

I hit the Hawksbury with Bill and my wife today (got a few alright bream, but otherwise very quiet) and I'm off chasing Marlin on the shelf tomorrow...ye ha!

Cheers

Brent

Those taylor mades in both surface and divers at the moment are working really well.

On our last couple trips to lake st clair they have been the standouts

By the way, that bass is a great fish for a river fish

Cheers fellas

Great to see you out on the water Jack, glad to hear you guys got stuck into them, see you soon!

Snag - not my PB mate, Ive got a 52fork (55 total) model from this same area, plus a 51to fork...pretty consistent spot hey :1yikes:

LIzard - your right mate, bass on the top are great fun, although I also love the immediate jarring impact of a big hit on a jig-spinner or spinner-bait too..heck its all good!

Cheers

Oh yeah just to round off my holiday report...I went out trolling on the shelf on Monday to try and get my first beakie of the season. Unfortunately we didn't even raise a fish, but hey, that's marlin fishing for you.

Cheers

Brent

P.S I'm off to the Goldie this weekend, fishing the Nerang on Sat then planning to head out after spotties and macks later in the day..but the bloody wind is looming...fingers crossed!
