Ive been told that herring can be caught around Lugarno area, I have not caught one as of yet but could someone show me a picture of what they look like and how to fish for them?

Thanks, Ray.

Ray, Herring are plentiful up there at the moment, I'm told. Try the eddy from the last quarter of the run in i.e. to the left of where Con fishes and alternatively in the run out, fish in the v section on the right while there's still enough water close into the rocks as herring can be shy. Use a no.10 bait jig on a float but cut it in half and burley where it will just hang in against the rocks on each tide, on each side where I mentioned.

Cheers
