arpie
Like you, Hodgey, we had horrific conditions here! I also had a problem with my 'pedals' so had to bale out early at 3pm (instead of 4pm!) Gale force winds, torrential rain, blazing sun, then torrential rain again ..... wears you down in the end! I was getting hits on the poppers/pencils in the whiting grounds & was planning on hitting the shallows in front of the bridge for some more ...... but when I got there, I was surfing quite decent waves & didn't want to get broadsided, let alone sunk ...... so hightailed it out of there! Wouldn't you know it ...... when I want bream, I get flatties, when I want flatties, I get bream! Now, normally, I wouldn't mind catching nice bream, but, on both occasions, I was hoping 1) for a whiting, as it was the whiting grounds 2) for a flattie as it was the flattie grounds! We have just finished a very nice fish meal, with one of the bream from today & the other bream & flattie from the other day! Very Yummy!!! Bring on next year, already!! woodch0p
Me and a mate participated as well, no luck on either species, but did score my first bream on a lure, 30cm model, which was a nice complimentary prize.
