Bugatti Reef 09

It looks like you certainly had a great time up there and got into plenty of good action Greg...

I like the idea of that barrier come lean rail around the casting deck on the pro boat.. A rail like that would certainly make life a lot easier and safer for anyone fishing off a casting deck down here too....

Cheers

Hi Jewgaffer

Those little 18ft Ocean Whalers sure handle some big chop and they float in puddles. It was amazing how shallow over reef the things float in. The rail came into play many a time fighting those hard pulling GT's. They would make the perfect little river/bay boats and the fit out is a perfect no carpet non skid glass finish. 5 mins with the Gernie and you'd be done.

These ones were powered with 90's and performed well for what they do up there, it would be an interesting boat with the 115hp max on the back. With the 90 they cruze nicely around the 26kn mark, a 115 should get it around the 30kn area which would be nice for longer runs.

Stability was amazing, 4 people running around a boat with 3 casting heavy gear as hard as they can, they just don't move!

Can't do that in a "V" hull.

Great trip there Greg. You've got quite an addiction! Quite the opposite end of finesse bream fishing by the looks of it.

One question though - any idea why the area is called Bugatti Reef??
