Gee
Thought I might add a little request for a definition ... what's a 'popper' and where's it fit in to the blade / metal / vibe distinctions between lures?Seems to me they are more for surface, and could be hard bodied and/or metal???Signed a confused new fisherman Edited February 11, 2016 by mrsswordfisherman added
andrew399
Spot on Gee. Poppers are hard bodied lures that are used on the surface. They make a blooping noise and generate a spray across the surface when they are worked correctly and come in sizes suitable for bream right up to massive GT's and wahoo. They are used to imitate a fleeing prawn or baitfish

slinkymalinky
Sorry but I even tried my best mate google. what are live poddies? Sometimes google can be to out there. Poddies are poddy Mullet which just basically means very small mullet (like about the length of your finger or smaller), which are often used as live bait. They're a great bait in estuaries for anything from flathead to barramundi (depending on where you are of course). I've added it to the list.
