Here is my new boat Black Magic. I imported the Trophy 1802wa from the USA without any problems and i would recomend doing it if purchasing a boat.

Hi all, made a few posts now so I thought I should at least show you what I am fishing from

post-23852-033023000 1346326764_thumb.jpg

Purchased 2nd hand on behalf from a local dealer.

The story goes that the guy that originally bought it fell ill shortly after and never got to use it and it was parked up under cover.

It's a 2005 Stacer Nomad Sports with a 2005 2 stroke Johnson 40hp pull start.

Came with all inshore safety gear plus more.

When I picked it up, I had to fill the fuel tank and I swear it had never had a drop of fuel in it.

Looking at the condtion of boat and trailer, I don't think it had ever been in the water and was also told the same.

Since purchase on 21/07/12 I have added the following;

Electric start and charging kit,

Garmin GPS/Fishfinder 555s

27 meg radio and aerial

100ah deep cycle battery

6 panel switch kit

nav lights and all round light

54lb Minnkota I-pilot (yet to be fitted after pending bowrail mods)

2nd battery for starting since fitting elec starting kit

On my wish list;

Inboard fuel tank, thinking 70L

fold down seats (fore on pedestal, aft on existing Ali seat)actually nearly completed.

Electric bilge pump to replace the manual one

Bait/catch tank

Electric trim and tilt kit to replace the current tilt assist

If you see me out, give us a wave or stop by for a chat and a bit of a yarn.

Cheers,

Kel

I thought I'd share the boat I do all my fishing in!

My boat like most is my pride and joy. In the last 12 months I've put in about 700 engine hours and its never let me down!

It's a Haines hunter 470 breeze 2007. I would like it to be a bit bigger, but don't tell her that! She's goes anywhere and at a rate of knots. Very reliable and easy to load and off load at the ramp!

The old girl. Only bought her a few months ago and put a little effort into bringing her up to spec (including stripping back and re-sprayed the trailer since the photos). Had her out on a couple of quick trips round Lake Mac and got to say I'm pretty happy. She's my first!

Compared to some of them posted here though she looks like a canoe! some bloody nice ones on here guys, congrats!

This my new boat. It is a Haines Signature 485SF with a Suzi DF60A, Lowrance HDS7 in the cockpit, a Lowrance Elite 5X DSI, Hydrowave (freshwater) and Minn Kota Terova on the bow, competition livewell and a Powerpole Blade. I am currently getting rod lockers fitted and need to upgrade the propeller to finish it off.

It replaced my Stesco Basscatcher and have found the fibreglass boat quieter and a much better ride.

Here is my new toy.

Downgraded from a half share in a gas guzzling 25 ft Betram to a cheap to run , fish twice a week 4 metre Seajay centre console.post-10917-0-79767100-1396009897_thumb.jpg

Will probably fish more often and catch more fish.

Still a bit sad to see the Bertie go, but with 2 young girls and each trip outside the heads costing me $100, something had to give. And with other friends with boats , I still have options to fish wide.
