Boat Theives At It Again

Recommended Posts

My Neighbour had their boat stolen yesterday.

They had taken precautions but these guys are profesional thieves.

Anyway here is some info. Just incase you spot it.

It's a 2008 Bayliner 192 Discovery Cuddy Cabin.

Has a full length swim platform (most only have a half size)

Boat Registration Number is IDO333N

Trailer rego is U78976.

It would be interesting to know what the precautions were and how they got around them.

I'll have a look around on the water, you'll never know.

I hope for your neighbours they get the boat back intact.

I lock the wheel with a KeepIt, then a padlock at the coupling

Then a fierce Dobermann sits in the boat and a mine field around the boat

A fingerprint ignition and a face recognition software to sit down.

Ok, maybe just the first line.

i really hope that the Keepit does the trick.

damn that sucks :/ damn theives *shakes fist* :ranting2: mine is chained to the tree + wheel lock n we got 3 dogs when one dog hears somthing they all go off + neighbours dogs n im usually outside in less than a minute + my boats blocked off by all our cars.

how the heck can they just steal a boat ? i mean is it that easy to get it registered as their own ? coz ill tell ya mine was a pain in the arse just transfer from QLD to NSW, and if it is so easy maybe something else needs to be done ?

Sorry to hear of your neighbour's loss - I just hope it turns up somewhere soon!! Maybe do a letter drop to the other neighbours in the street - someone may have been up when it was taken & can give some info to the police.

Cheers

Sorry to say, but if someone is stealing a whole boat, its not coming back.

It will most likely be re-birthed and sent interstate.

Lets hope they had full cover insurance ay.

I know i do.

Thats a great idea Roberta.

It was taken Milperra

I beleive they had a wheel clamp but I ma unaware of the brand. I am not really sure if the coupling had a lock.

I will try to get more info tomorrow.

This is a great site and in the off chance that someone here may see something or might be able to prevent another one from being stolen I thought I would post.
