Csaba
Following the fishing community advice, I got myself a Kayak. Its an Q-Kayak Escapade...yellow. It looks like a big Banana... I am looking for advice from people that have experience fishing from Kayaks. I have done lots of reading about safety, setup but I would like to experience the real deal doing some fishing. Anybody kayak master looking to take on a young "paddleone"?
arpie
If you travel up to Forster we can hit the water together! But i don't go offshore. Just don't go offshore until you have fished various weathers inshore & always wear your lifejacket if you DO go offshore! Good idea to have a bilge pump installed if planning to fish offshore. Test your yaks stability to the fullest whilst inshore - lean it as far as you can, left & right, to see how far you have to go before it tips over. Don't use an 'environet' - get one of the rubberty/plastic ones with big holes. The environet can cause an upset if used incorrectly.
