0 james7
A crop-circle bonito?!!! Typical reply from you Skip! speed holes , homer simpson pioneered it Good one iggy My first thought was squid or octopus, but bonito are fast. Maybe a squid grabbed the bonito after it was caught once??? The rings were different sizes too. The smaller circle marks were on the head. (I wish I'd taken more photos) (click on the photo to see it full size) It was not a big bonito. I reckon the larger circles were less than a cm. Bit of a mystery eh? Any more ideas? 0 slinkymalinky
Not an Octopus... Occies don't have 'teeth' on their suckers. If you look at the close up pics you can see the 'tooth' marks on each ring. Squid and Cuttlefish have 'denticulated' tentacles (toothed) so one of them is your culprit most probably. It's a squid/cuttlefish, and a big one too. This image is of a squid tentacle. When compared to the marks on the bonnie, its exactly the same. The little suckers are also present there, which was the first thing I noticed... and Octopuses don't have these little suckers.

0 james7
Are they smiley stamps for being good in "school"tangled1 No tangled1, as Slinky and zephi said, the bonito in the pictures above above was probably hit by a squid. The fish pictured below is the bonito that was "good in school"! If you look carefully, you can see the difference. Cheers Peter
