well done fellas, some nice fish landed on blades.question stewy, when using the blades,do you get much snags & lost lures fishing with them mate?iv got a couple TT's but havnt used em much in fear of snagging & loosing the lure, therefore i mostly stick with plastics.id really like to try the bigger blades for local jewfish.

cheers johnny. beersmile.gifthumbup.gif

They occassionally get snagged up Johnny.

As do most lures.

The trick with blades out of a boat is to slacken the line right off and drive back past the blade where it is snagged up and then give it a little jerk and the blade comes off 95% of the time.

Cheers Stewy

Took my good mate Dean out for his first hit at the bream on blades and it didnt take long for him to get his PB of 38cms thumbup.gif .

Dean and I have been long time friends since school and it was great to have him aboard the polycraft today.

We were using light 1 to 3kg sticks loaded with 4 lb braid and 6lb nitlon leaders and the new ghost blades from TT lures in the 1/12th oz.

We scored some great fish today with a couple of nice bream over the 40cm mark and a heap of flatties and smallish whiting.

It was bloody cold today but well worth the effort.

We did meet up with HookmeUp in their boat Obssession, nice to meet you fellas.I hope you did well today.

Thanks for a top day out Deano and your coffee was awesome.

One small mishap was me holding a big bream for a piccy before release when she decided to slice my thumb open with her gill plates (OUCH) bled for ages ranting2.gif

Great session as usual Stewy.\! thumbup.gif Can you tell me the type of retrieve/action you use on the light bladesa I'm strating to use them a bit now. biggrin2.gif

Gdayyyyyy Rob,

Let them go right to the bottom and watch the line carefully as they do get hit on the drop.

Now leave the blade stationary for 20 to 30 seconds and watch line carefully as they get picked up dead sticking them.

If not bite detected, give a few light twitches of the rod tip to get a small vibe going then let the blade sit on the bottom for a few seconds(maybe 10 ) and then lift the blade with a few light jerks and twitches to get your blade vibing and commence the retreive keeping you blade close to the bottom.

Make sure you keep in contact with the blade at all times and after a while you will see how the fish strike the vibes.

Ghost blade in Gold noggin is good as are the metals in 1/8th in copper sunset.

Cheers Stewy

Hi swordy, which position do you find best to attach your line to on top of your blades most of mine have 3 positions. regards Rex
