Hi Raiders,

The Fisheries research will be conducting a survey of estuarine recreational fishing in Lake Macquarie, St Georges Basin & Tuross Lakes from March, for 3 months.

The survey will provide important data which will be used to assess the quality of recreational estuarine fishing and the health of fish stocks within the lake following its establishment as a recreational fishing haven.

During this 3 month period you may be approached by researchers at boat ramps or by boat also. The researchers want to talk to fishermen fishing within the lake and check catches so they can see what's being caught and sizes etc.

If you happen to be fishing during that 3 month period and are approached by these people, please help by assisting them with their survey and research.
