REEF MAGIC CHARTERS Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Hi all, With the current doing 4 knots out wide the fleet was fishing in close yesterday. There was plenty of bait on the surface and the conditions were perfect. Unfortunately the fish werent playing the game and with 20 odd boats fishing the area no one was catching anything. We moved to another spot in close for the tide change and Damo deployed some livies and we worked some bait. With the punters losing faith and time running out we finally marked a fish on the sounder and sunk the livies, within seconds the band pulled from the rigger and we were on. There were plenty of cheers from the boys on board as the striped marlin put on a great arial display for them. We had him boatside in 15 minutes and Damo put a tag in him and gave the boys a great display as the fished jumped while he had him on the leader beside the boat. We then released a very healthy 75kg fish to fight another day. We still have next Saturday available if anyone is interested call Damien on 0407113349. We will be heading back in a couple of weeks as the yellowfin area starting to turn up so anyone interested in fishing out of Sydney for fin give us a call.
