Lightweight
Hi Twin, There are some big specimens in Lake Mac, i have seen plenty at the front of my oldies place in Kilaben Bay. I have also "heard" they are a good bait for bream and whiting. I havn't as yet tried them out, just collected a few of their shells for the garden... Since you are on the lake, maybe you could do some testing for us?? Just don't stand on the buggers, they will open you up like a.... Razor! granpop
Eyre Peninsular spots like Streaky Bay, Smokey Bay etc are lousy with them - great bait of KG Whiting etc. Also edible (human wise).

Jethro
I have seen a few around the islands in Swansea Channel. Be careful as the ones I have seen only have 2 - 3cm of shell poking out of the sand
