mrsswordfisherman
Search for missing man continues The search for a man who was thrown from a fishing boat when it struck a buoy in Sydney's south is continuing. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was returning from a fishing trip with two of his sons and another man just after 6pm (AEST) on Saturday, when their aluminium runabout struck a large mooring buoy near Kurnell. The man was thrown into the water and disappeared. His sons jumped in after him in an attempt to find him, but were unsuccessful. Emergency services workers joined the search after a mayday call and two flares were set off. The search, which included the police helicopter Polair, NSW Maritime and Marine Rescue NSW, was suspended about 3am (AEST) on Sunday. It will resume sometime after 8am (AEST) on Sunday morning, police said. The incident follows two recent boating accidents, one on the Hawkesbury River and the other on Lake Macquarie, in which a teenage girl and two men lost their lives. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8265505/search-for-missing-man-continues
