Jewhunter
G'day all. Hit the beach last night looking for a winter Jew. Fantastic conditions once again. First baits out lasted 5 minutes & as I hauled in a Tailor my mate hooked up & landed a small Jew ( 60cm ). Nice start! I banged out a Tailor slab & 30 minutes later it rolled off & as i waited it stopped mmmm? Left it out there & it got hammered by another Tailor that was about 2kgs. We both had another run for no result & that was about it for the night. Ah well, no big Jew but a bit of fun anyway. Was a bit suprised to find such a small Jew there @ this time of year, but as they say where there's smoke there's fire & with the tailor around a big fella shouldn't be too far away. Got one in the same spot this moon last year that went 21.5kgs so I'm off again tommorow night. Hope I get something to report. Cheers. Grant. Narralakes
At least you got some tailor too, good luck tomorrow night, or was that tonight?
spizza
Nice one. Grant, if you don't mind me asking, are you fishing the local Sydney Beaches? I had no luck on the Jews this year here on the Northern Beaches. The closest I got was dropping one at Collaroy beach right at my feet and that was that. Even worse, I kept reading about the weekly Jew catches coming off the beaches! I'm gonna give Narrabeen a go on Monday and see if any Sambo's are about.. Cheers, Spizza (Spiro)
