Hi Huey.I have a Yamie 70 two stoke and I have only used Yamie oil and I have had no problems and the motor and have done around 380 HRS.What benefits would I expect to gain from changing to XD-100 and what do I have to do to change over ie drain the tank and fill with XD-100 and then run it,or is there any adjustments to be done.

Regards Stu.

Hi, no adjustments are needed or can be done to your engine. You would let the oil tank get low and then top up with XD-100 if you wanted to see the difference in mainly smoke. Again nothing wrong with the Yamalube but it will be not be a full synthetic oil with additives to make it burn cleaner and better.

Cheers,

Huey.

Huey, I recently used some Valvoline 2 stroke mix for my little 8 HP Yamaha. The bottle was sealed but the colour was not at all like oil, it was black. is that normal for that brand?

Thanks

Cheers

Paikea

i use valvoline and its dark blue mate just a colour additive
