Benzeenees
I'd be interested in other raiders recipes for smoked fish. Here's one to kick things off. If the fish is a bit salty, soak it in water for an hour or so. Then poach the fish in water or milk. Remove any bones and flake the fish into small pieces. Hard boil some eggs. Fry some onions and/or spring onions in a mixture of margarine (or butter) and olive oil until golden. Add some plain flour (and maybe some more margarine)and fry for a minute or two. Put in enough milk (or soy milk) to make a kind of white sauce. Add the smoked fish, chopped up boiled eggs and some mushrooms. Adjust the seasoning (salt, pepper) to taste. Serve with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. Don't worry about precise quantities - just use your judgement. Very easy but tastes fantastic.
