iMick
If you go for a run to the front of the Novatel in Brighton Le Sands, cast towards the shore, and have your bait or lure land right on the drop off, about 15-20m from the shoreline, you'll get heaps of flattys there. It was my go to spot about 10 years ago, and about a month ago I had a quick flick there and got three or four in about 15 minutes.

Guest Aussie007
the key is to look for beaches they need to be shallow the flatties love the bait fish that live in the shallow water bathing in the warm water look around 5-10 foot of water and drift these areas also keep an eye on your bait if u pull up your bait and see u have drifted from the sand over muddy or reef bottom reposition the boat and drift again or find a new spot either tide works well as flatties are ambush predators they will bury them self in the sand and wait for bait to drift by they also love to chase so while your drifting dont be surprised if u get hit after hit constantly as the flatties will swim with the bait attacking it
