Rah
Hey there Raiders, Have been catching a few nice bream in the Cooks River lately (along with some nice plastic bags. ha ha.) It has got me wondering the age of fish and bream in particular. Have had a bit of a search online and can’t really find any info at all. Does anyone know anything about this or where I can find out? I know it depends on A LOT of things but have heard one extreme to the other that a 25cm Bream is 3, 8 or 20 years. And that’s a big difference. Ha ha Any info at all would be great. Cheers
Hodgey
This is one of those 'how long is a piece of string?' questions really, but I have attached a document that might head you in the right direction. Hope it helps. Cheers Hodgey black_bream_know_your_catch_brochure.pdf

iMick
Don't think with help with your question, but I read a study once that a Bream of 48cm was found to be 27 years old

To be honest it has made me think twice about the size of hook i am using!
