Hi all

Thanks for the well wishes, really still in awe of the fish.

Tackle was Saragossa 18000 spooled with 80lb fins braid, mid knot to 130 black magic leader soft. 2 x 8/0 live baiting hooks tied not crimped. Rod is ugly stick pe8 5'6" jig stick. Fish was caught in 22 m of water. Bottom hook was straightened so we need to upgrade those

Fight was 12 - 15 mins , man felt like 1 hour, thousands of thoughts processing all in an instant.

Have several fish around the 16 kg mark and one 3 weeks ago that was 27 kg, we fished hard for 18 months just targeting kings. A lot of zero days in that. Squid always out fishes any other live bait for us, the downside is you have to put up with reds smashing them to pieces.

Thanks again guys an awesome NSW fish out of JB

Going to mould it and hang it. It was 90 cm girth around it's shoulders :1yikes:

Still buzzing

I got a call last night about this capture from a friend. NZ style king! Unreal.

Received a picture sms this morning of it.

News of captures like this really travel...

Great fish mate.

I've been down there fishing land based the past few weeks, but there is nothing being caught off the rocks but seals.

Well done again, fish of a lifetime.
