Launched from Akuna yesterday arvo and sounded out some bait in a inlet just inside smiths creek. All fish were caught on dead ganged yakkas. Was back at home by 9. Top short hectic sesh with my handlines going nuts. Biggest went 1.5m.31b042b8-aa9a-a72c.jpg

Hi all, I am going to give the hairtails a go tomorrow, my first time this year. What's the latest out there, where should I go, WB, Smiths Creek, Jerusalem Bay, or else? Would be great to hear from you

Caught a few last weekend in jerusalem bay, caught a lot but getting them to the boat was another thing,we would just feelthe weight of the fish then they would let go,they made it pretty hard work ,very frustrating,. Cheers Laurie.

All you need to do is sound out some bait, anchor up over them and the hairies will come. They're right thru the Cowan system. What ever you do absolutely no sinkers!!! Don't need light sticks either. The key is find the BAIT.
